Friends of the Qualicum Beach Forest and the Qualicum Beach Museum will be hosting several walking tours during BC National Forest Week, which runs September 21st – 27th.
These tours highlight the incredible trees and forests we have right here in Qualicum Beach.
- Tuesday September 23rd – The Heritage Forest: Trees, Plants, and Wildlife, with Dr. Lynne Brookes.
Two tour options: 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. (1.5 hrs) - Wednesday September 24th – The Heritage Forest: History, Ecology, and Cultural Significance, with Tom Whitfield.
Two tour options: 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (2 hrs) - Thursday September 25th – Ornamental Trees of Milner Gardens, with Denise Winter, 1:00 p.m. (2 hrs)
- Saturday September 27th – The Impact of Invasive Species, with Carrie Reid, at the Museum Trail, 2 p.m. (1.5 hrs)
