In 1984 a group of ladies headed by Elizabeth Little and Cora Skipsey got together to form the Qualicum Beach Historical & Museum Society. We continue to build on that legacy today. In the years since the Museum’s inception, our population has grown significantly and the Museum has become a cornerstone of this vibrant community. Funds donated to the QB Museum will be used to pave the road to a sustainable future with improved programs, exhibits and grounds. And there has never been a better time to donate to YOUR Museum! The Town of Qualicum Beach has agreed to match
donations ‘dollar for dollar’ up to a total of $15,000. Help us keep the stories alive for future generations – we offer a range of options and look forward to your support!

Museum memberships are $25 per annum and benefits include:
– voting rights at membership meetings;
– discounts on many items available in our gift shop
– invitation to special Museum events
– bragging rights as a Museum supporter

Join the ‘Friends of QB Museum’ Monthly Donor Program

As a Friend of the QB Museum, you make regular monthly donations for as little or as much as you wish. Donated funds are used to increase Museum programs and exhibits, and support ongoing projects such as the perimeter and grounds enhancement, and the implementation of our revitalization project to ensure we are making the best use of the space available. All donations are tax-deductible and tax receipts are issued annually. Donors are recognized in our regular newsletter and on our Donor Wall inside the Museum.

    Once completed this form becomes the confidential property of the Qualicum Beach Historical & Museum Society. This pledge may be canceled at any time in writing. All donations are tax-deductible and receipts will be issued annually.

Corporate Sponsorship

Be a community leader by offering your corporate sponsorship to the QB Museum. As a corporate sponsor, your name and logo will appear on our website, social media sites, newsletters and on our donor wall. Each year thousands of people visit our Museum; we have hundreds of followers on Facebook; and, our website receives 100 hits a day on average. As a corporate sponsor, your name and logo would potentially be seen by all these visitors! An excellent way to support YOUR local Museum and share our colourful history with residents and visitors alike.

Adopt an Artefact Program

We are very excited to announce our new ‘Adopt an Artefact’ Program. Artefacts offered for adoption range from fossils to furnishings … find the one that is right for you! As a supporter, you will receive an adoption certificate and photo of your artefact together with background information. Adoptive parents will be acknowledged on our media sites and a card will be displayed alongside your artefact, recognizing your support. This is a one-time donation and tax receipts will be issued. Here are some examples of artefacts awaiting adoption. For a complete list contact the Museum – we have something for everyone!

This comfy red leather chair is from the legendary Qualicum Beach Inn/Hotel where many famous visitors such as Shirley Temple and John Wayne stayed.

General Money’s Metal Hat Box is oval-shaped with a high top, hinged lid, clasp, and gold coloured metal plaque on the front with an inscription, “CAPT. N. MONEY, SHROPSHIRE L.I.”
